Harrell - Seasons of a Navajo

In the 1984 Documentary entitled, Seasons of a Navajo, the story follows a year in the life of Dorothy and Chauncey Neboia, an elderly Navajo couple and their extended family who live on the vast Navajo Reservation. What this documentary showed to me was the Navajo's real respect for our Earth. The film shows how these people go about their everyday life, still holding true to their mythical/spiritual body and keeping respect for the mother Earth to be the most important part of their lives. I find that this is a film that really teaches its viewers how to live a lifestyle that respects the Earth as much as possible. I find that this film changed my views on a lot of things, especially how to live a eco-friendly life like the Navajo. To me, the Navajo way of life looks a very good life and I wish all humans would follow the Navajo's path in respecting the earth and appreciating all the nature that sustains us.
